Over 3000 years ago Agate was used by the ancient Egyptians to carry water, make rings and other ornaments for their bodies and temples. Water Agate is a rare form of Agate that has the ability to absorb water, or in vary rare cases it actually contains trapped water that is perhaps millions of years old. Our Water Agate collection contains both types. Each piece has been painstakingly carved into a symbolic image of the Far East. Each one is unique and will absorb water if soaked in a tub overnight. A few special pieces have never lost their water. The water in these is the original water that was trapped as these Agates formed millions of years ago. Agate emits a cooling energy that is said to remove negative energy and reinstate a gentle force of self-love. You won't find Water Agate carvings like this anywhere. These pieces are truly unique and many have images carved on the reverse as well! 5.5"h x 6"w, 10,905.6 carats.
